I have boarded Scooter several times. It is hard in the beginning but just know your babies are having fun and will still love you when you go to get them. As far as what to take, it depends on the space they will be staying in. Scooter is not crate trained but loves his bed. When I board him, I always take:

1) his bed
2) a bag of his food (super important since your babies are already used to it)
3) a chew proof toy or two (make sure these are ones that nothing can come apart on since you aren't sure about the amount of supervision they will have)
4) his leash (if they need it for extra walks or anything)
5) the first time I took Scooter to board, I took a shirt (polo with the buttons cut off) that smelled like me. We are very close and it allowed him to snuggle in his bed with something safe that smelled like me.
6) If I want him to have a special treat one night, I arrange a special time with the facility where they will give whatever I bring to him while supervised (ie, a bully stick or things like it)

The facility, unless they tell you otherwise, does not need your babies' food and water bowls. Mine always provides them. Also, be sure to warn the staff if thunderstorms or anything like that scare your babies. I see that you are taking yours to a family home boarding facility. Scooter goes to a place downtown so you may not need the leash. Do the owners have kids? Maybe you can pay a little extra to have the kids play in the yard privately each day with your babies. It may make the stay more fun and wear them out at the same time. I think it is harder on us as parents to board them than it is on them. Good luck!
