Default Children and Yorkies are great together~ As long as they are supervised

Our furkids love being around the grandkids. They run and play with them the entire time they are here. (We also taught the grandkids the Yorkie shuffle) so no danger of stepping on one of them. So I say it all depends on the child and how you teach them. They have to be trained right along with the puppies. Lolita at first had issues when the kids were running with Laddy and would snarl and snap at them but when that happened we just laid her on her side and made her lay there and let the kids slowly pet her until she quit barking and biting at them.
I agree with this also, I have raised 5 adult children now with my yorkies and as long as they are supervised and taught right from the start to be kind and soft touch. We do the yorkies shuffle here also And all kids at my house have to sit on the floor when playing with the puppies. Now I have my Grandchildren coming over and I get to start over ! I love it and so does the puppies
