We have not checked the protein but I will ask the vet. We did take her to a different vet for a second opinion. She believes it is a gastrointestinal issue. We have been giving her medicine for the past couple of days that have seemed to reduce the swelled stomach (which ballooned to 9.2 pounds - now down to 8.2). She is acting more like her normal self but I am not convinced everything is OK yet. This has been the strangest illness I have ever seen. I will update when we know more! |
