Default Vomiting and lethargic

I woke to Kilo (6 months?) vomiting this am and stupidly fed him before consulting with Dr. Google. He threw that up and now we've taken all food away but have water out for him. He seems quite lethargic but isn't vomiting any more (I'm guessing he has nothing left in his system). We just started feeding him homemade food (cooked ground beef, carrots, egg) and yesterday my 7yo gave him some milk but other than that I can't think of any food changes.

Could it be the homemade food or the milk? Could it be garbage gut? Dr. Google says keep him off food for 24 hours and then slowly feed white rice and see how it goes. Does that sound right with everyone here or are our small breeds different? Should we take him to the vet today? He walks around without a problem but doesn't have the spunk he normally does. Is there any danger in waiting until tomorrow am? His tummy doesn't seem to be painful to touch (when we palpate he doesn't yelp).
