If her hair is not long enough for a topknot yet, try mini barrettes. That's what I use on Uni (she doesn't like the rubber bands). You can keep the hair out of the eyes without having too much length. They are by Goody, and they come about 12 per pack in a rainbow of colors. You can get them at walmart in the little girls hair clips aisle. They're about $2. I'm also told you can get them at the dollar store. One of my fave items.
