Sometimes posters answer questions with more information than the OP asked because they think they are giving valuable information that may not be useful the OP, but it might be to others. If you do a little more research on the topic, many people do believe in breeding the red leg, actually adding it to their breeding program because some people believe it brings back richer colors into the line. Many other breeders are against this, and think that there are better ways to introduce richer colors into the line. I appreciate posters that give more informative answers, and if you find it unnecessary information, why not just skim the post? Comments such as yours are why some of our more informative posters stop posting. Remember, many more people read the threads than actually reply. A breeder doing research on the red leg could find this thread, and could find her answer extremely valuable.
