I hope everything works out ok with your pup. It is my understanding that as long as your pup is getting monthly flea and tick protection the moment the tick bites it becomes poisoned, and no damage should be done to your dog. As for the shot, Milos old vet gave it to him yearly, well I switched vets this year and he said that unless we were in the woods a lot there is no reason to give him the shot he himself does not give it to his own dog.
