Clean or not, USDA licensed commercial breeding facilities are high volume puppy factories that crank out puppies for profit. No genetic screening or health testing is done. Puppies get little or no human contact which is key for proper socialization. They are born in cages to parents who have never had the luxury of going potty anywhere except their cages so they have no role model for potty training during those critical early weeks.
Puppies from puppy mills/pet stores are often impossible to housebreak, cannot be socialized and will even become aggressive after they reach maturity, can be way off the breed standard and carry all sorts of "time bombs" for genetic diseases that will go off later in life.
It is also a horrible industry to support as the profit is made off the suffering of helpless animals. |
You guys keep saying the puppies are never tested but at the pet store I go to it has the dates of when they last went to a vet. Is this a lie?
