It sounds very much like a hypoglycemic episode. It's not as common in adults as pups but it can happen. She needs her blood sugar level to come up. Rubbing her gums with honey is fine. It will get absorbed quickly that way. You may need to do it several times to get enough in her. You could also put some in an oral syringe and feed it to her. Hopefully the vet will call back soon but, in the meantime, just get some sugar in her and try to get some food in her. Has she been ill or not eating well? I've been told by a vet that Karo syrup gets into their system the fastest but honey will do if that's all you have. Also, it's important to keep her warm at this time.
