Try petfinder.com, the rescue section here, puppyfind.com, your local newspapers, and search rescues/humane societies/animal shelters in your area. Talk to local breeders and ask about breeder rehomes. Get in contact with other local yorkie owners and see if they can help direct you. Sign up at meetup.com for yorkie groups in your area and talk to other yorkie owners. Sometimes you just get lucky! With my Smokey, my best friend's mom called me and said her groomer got a yorkie in that needed a home and recommended me so the next day I went to pick him up and she GAVE him to me for no charge and he's been such a blessing. Anyways, I notice you said you are in Northern VA. I don't know where Remington is, but I'm in Leesburg!
