If it's any comfort, I've known a lot of folks whose dogs were prone to carsickness as pups but outgrew the problem as they got older. Hopefully this is only a phase, and he'll be a little road warrior soon enough.

My dog occasionally gets carsick-- three times this past year that I can remember. It happened more often when she was a puppy. Given the infrequency of the problem, I've chosen not to medicate for it-- I just make sure to carry a towel and a bottle of spray fabric cleaner in the trunk for the rare times that it happens.
