Well... I'll probably get yelled at but I got Allie from Craigslist.
Her people wanted her to go to a good home and weren't asking a fee.
After a lot of emails and meeting, three weeks ago I brought her home with me.
I am new to Yorkies but I fell in love with her right away and wouldn't change a thing. I was really worried about what kind of home she might get or if someone would try to repost her for a large rehoming fee. I didn't answer the ad right away, but after some thought and I still had room for one more animal, I replied to the ad.
It is one of the best things that I have ever done. I know that Craigslist has a really bad rap for a very good reason, but in this case, I got a wonderful companion. I love her very much and wouldn't think of ever having to rehome her. As soon as she started to become acclimated to her new home, she began to show her wonderful Yorkie personality. I've said it in a lot of posts, but if I'd had gotten her first Jennie would probably be a Yorkie lol. My Kali, a Japanese Chin, is my girl. She was my first and I got her as a puppy. I know that I wouldn't change that. But now that I am at my limit, it is hard not to want another little Yorkie. |
