He does have seizures, which the vet believes is caused by the insulinomia. It affects dogs that are older...between 10 and older. So I dont know if yours has it, You could maybe get him checked out.

Well he had a high glusoce level and high insulin levels which led the vet to believe it was insulinoma. Basically, we wont know unless we go through with the surgery. Which, because he has a high white blood cell count, he can't be put under because it is too dangerous. They have done scans of his chests and stomach to see if he has any metastasis which is a cancer spreading tumor. We are going to find out if they found one on the scans in about an hour. Good thing is, he doesnt have pancretitis (sp) which is excellent.

We have decided not to do the surgery. We simply cannot afford it. There is no way I can take that on at this point in my life. The vet also told us he thinks that at his age, he may not do so well at surgery. So we are going to take him home and take care of his as best we know how. It could possibly not be the cancer, in that case he will just get better and wont show any symptoms and hopefully be with us for many more years. Please pray for him. He needs all the prayers he can get. Thanks to everyone for the support. We love you guys!
