Default pectus excavatum

I wrote a few months ago about my aunt's Yorkie who had something protruding out by the bottom of her ribcage. Well, she took her to the vet today and they told her it was pectus excavatum. I looked on the net and it seems that this is when the chest is sucked in. Zoie's is the opposite! Something is sticking out of her chest. I'm no vet, but this diagnosis seems weird. I thought it was a hernia, but the vet (who was young my aunt said) said it wasn't a hernia.

Anyone know about this defect?
