I'm having alot of difficulty keeping up with my two yorkie's teeth too. They hate having their teeth brushed even though i do it about once a week. I literally have to pry open their mouths and do my best to brush their teeth, which must not be very good because their teeth are getting tartar buildup. I use a regular child toothbrush and some doggy toothpaste i got at petsmart, which is mint (and they like the taste of it). I'm just going to have to end up getting the vet to do a teeth cleaning on both, although i hate the idea of having them get put out to clean their teeth. As for ear cleaning, i got this ear cleaning solution from the vet called Epiotic, and the vet shows you how to squirt a small amount into each ear and massage the ears for about a minute to let it clean the inside, then when the dog shakes its head the excess solution comes out. I do this for them about every two weeks or when their ears start to smell funky, its really easy and i just do it right after their bath.
