I would not want him left somewhere overnight if there wasn't going to be anyone there to monitor him. I understand the importance of keeping a dog calm and subdued directly following a surgical procudure, but I would think that if you are able to do that at home, then that would be better then him being at a vet's overnight, alone.

Here's wishing him a speedy recovery from his upcoming fixin'.
