Hubby introduced me to boating and it has been wonderful. We have made so many cool friends as I am sure you know all about. Boaters are such a great community of people. Boating is definitely up there for us. And we are so thrilled that our baby loves it too! He has really taken to the water.

We also had Hot Rod in without his jacket to make sure he knew what to do without his jacket on-just in case. He is watched like a hawk by us and the other boaters.

This year we didn't really as far we normally did, we just tooled around locally-the furthest run was probably 1 1/2 hours. With the price of fuel we took it easy. We have run as far as 5 hours away and took our time slowly coming back home over a 10 day period. The Chesapeake Bay is a wonderful place to boat, there are so many destinations to go to within a short run. Do you get much opportunity to boat? Sorry for the long response but as you can tell, I love boating!!
That is so cool.....a catamaran! How big is it? I'll tell DH that your DH sells boats.....he will be jealous! That would be so fun to check out all the destinations on the Chesapeake Bay. We have a 30' Maxum (check out the photo album on my profile page called "Boating in the NW"). DH has been working overtime nearly every weekend (just slammed at work!).......and with the price of gas (over $5 per gallon at the marinas), I don't know if we will get to go out this year..........it makes me so sad. Our boat is too big to trailer to gas stations on land......so our only only option is to purchase gasoline at the marinas. The pups and I are all ready to go......I have life jackets for all the pups and nautical outfits for them to wear.....and even hair bows with anchors on them. I also have a nautical vest and 2 nautical dresses on order with Des @ GoFetch. We are saltwater only boaters........I love the saltwater 'cause there are no mosquitos! We've been to the San Juan Islands many times and we've gone up into Canada......besides other harbours around the area. Yes.........boaters are a great buch of friendly people! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will be able to get out in the boat between August-October. I would love to see all the pictures of your boating adventures this Summer!
