Instead of fasting them for 12 hours, they can just be ready for their next meal then draw blood, have them eat and draw again two hours later.
The test may not be accurate until 6 months anyway.

I cannot imagine why anyone would have a young puppy tested against their Vet's advice. Puppy was much to young. This heartbreak could easily have been avoided. If in fact the sire and dam were tested and free of LS why subject a tiny puppy to that stress ?
I personally I lost a beautiful 9month old puppy to anesthesia in an attempt to fix a broken leg. Anything can happen with living creatures as well as People !
