Oh Allison I am so happy to see you took Lexi to the vet. I know you already know you did the right thing but... You did the right thing!
You are dealing with a really tough situation and I know you are probably having to make some really tough decisions. I would think your breeder has the legal responsibility to reimburse you at least the cost of Lexi but I would think they would be obligated to also cover her medical expenses. I am sending positive thoughts to you and little Lexi and hope this vet visit will be the turning point for her recovery.
