sounds like a food allergy to me (welcome to the club! i swear Layla could be president) and chances are good it is chicken. MANY dogs are allergic to chicken (layla included) so try switching to a food that has a more exotic meat- like duck or rabbit or vennison.
oh you might also want to try a grain free food- i know Innova and Orijen both make grain free. Layla is allergic to wheat and corn. Orijen also makes a food with fish as the base meat. might also want to try something like that.
