Sorry Brenda, I just saw this thread and your previous one. How cruel for the vet to have said this to you!
You were trying to help and I know how badly this hurts your heart! YOU did not kill this little baby! She was very, very ill. When an illness manifests itself and runs it's course so quickly there is nothing you could have done. Please, please don't blame yourself, I have been there 18 years ago and 'til this day it makes me cry to think that the smallest thing I did may have contributed to his death. Don't do that to yourself. Just remember how much you did love her and the good times you had together. She is in heaven romping with all of the previously, loved so much it hurts, babies. Love yourself and keep her love in your heart not your regret, from someone who has been there on too many occasions. Lupie, Bratwurst, Annie, Ace Morgan and Sage will watch out for Mattie until she gets her legs under her - Trust me!
