They will just be a little older, before they even go to another home. People will also know more of what they are getting and a better idea on weight and size too. So I feel it is a win - win situation for all concerned. And the new owner does not have to worry about them being spayed/neutered since it is already done.

I know exactly how you feel and with all of the registries popping up limited registration is absolutely no guarantee that your pups won't be bred. It's so sad that you can't trust anyone now days. They will lie to your face and say that they just want a pet and will not breed. Down the road they will accuse you of being a terrible person because you won't change the registration and give them full breeding rights because the dog is turning out nice and they've changed their minds. They don't even bother to find out what a quality yorkie should look like much less what breeding and whelping entails. After two such run ins I'm ready to change my policy and procedure but I'm not sure yet which is the better way to go. I just know that since I'm just starting out I want to protect my kennel name and I don't want one of my babies endangered by someone who doesn't know squat and doesn't care to learn.
