Parti colored yorkies are the result of mating a pair of yorkies who each carry a recessive pie gene. If you breed a parti to a standard colored yorkie without this gene...you will get standard colored puppies who are now carriers of the gene. Take one of those puppies and breed to another carrier or parti and you may get parti colored puppies. I say may because it's still likely you will get some standard colored puppies in the litter...however they will have the recessive gene.
