Rachael lived with elderly people who couldn't afford to pay for her surgery, so she was taken by a rescue called PeopleUnitedforPets in Seattle. After her surgery, the rescue group was willing to pay for the surgery, and return her to them. However, they couldn't even afford the specialized food and follow-up care. She has been loved and treated well. They must miss her.
Charlie: I let her play with all of my toys, and she loves to chase the tennis ball. There is a yellow bear that she carries in her mouth; Momma thinks Rachael believes it is her baby.
Deborah: I had an application in for a senior girl because I thought Charlie needed a sister. Offered to foster and Rachael came to stay with us 12 days ago. However, Charlie is too old and his life has been rough; realized he needs my attention 100%. So when Rachael eventually goes to her new home, I probably won't foster again or entertain the thought of a sister for Charlie. However, will help the rescue group in other ways because they specialize in small animals. |
