Honesty is the best policy in a way she can understand at her age. We had lots of farm animals and always had babies born so the kids seen that and I guess I was never asked for they knew how babies came out it was just natural for them. I had 5 kids and only my youngest asked when we were watching a cat have kittens (so is that how babies come out and I said yes and he said that has got to hurt!) I smiled and said yup it does, that was the end of that.
Many parents will lie or tell them something false that is wrong IMO,kids need to learn about having babies, sex, about the way there bodies change in a good way so they are not embarrassed etc and they grow up to know things are natural and that is the way it is.(age appropiate for what you tell them of course).I had a baby at a young age so it has been natural for me to talk about it with my daughter and 3 boys so far (I have 1 more boy to go) in hopes it does not happen to them,I have been very honest and open about things with them. So when things get brought up they will at me like oh god not again mom we know you have told us .
