okay guys please i really need your opinion, so today me and my husband and 2 girls went shopping and when we were done we decided to go to the spca just to browse. well there were 2 chi's up for adoption. one was very tiny 2 1/2lbs( his name is blueberry) and the other was 4lbs.(her name is cherry) i really loved blueberry his color was like a nice very light grey mixed with tan(beautiful) he was very timmid, wich i totally understand. both are 6 months. but it seemed as though he had a problem with hair loss, wich i wasn't sure what to think of. i asked the workers there and they said it could be due to stress or not eating properly since he was found with his mom and sis as strays.
then i went on to ask them if he was tested for any type of health problems,liver shunt, heart worms etc and they said no
this really shocked me. because i would think that they would test these dogs for these types of conditions. they went on to say that it was our (the adopter) responsability to get this checked by our own vet.they were looking at me like i was a cop trying to arrest them or something when i was asking these questions. i guess nobody asks them these things. so anyway i didn't adopt him because i was worried about these things and his hair loss, with them not knowing exactly what's going on with the little guy
should i have just adopted him anyway?
