I had a scary experience w/ Romeo too. We have a beach home that has a deck on the second story. All the dogs love to stay on the deck during the day and just lounge. I didn't want to let Romeo stay on the deck because I knew he could fit through the railing. My entire family was there for Memorial Weekend and my 12 year old cousin brought him out on the deck while I was napping. Everyone that was outside was watching him but he moved too fast. He JUMPED OFF!!!!! My mom saw him go over before she could catch him. (the deck is about 16ft off the ground) Thank goodness I was sleeping during all this -- I probably would have had a heart attack! My mom said she was so afraid of what she would see when she looked over the edge. To her surprise, Romeo was fine. He was just walking around like nothing happened. I feel really lucky that he did not get hurt or worse...needless to say, he will never go out on that deck again unless I am holding him!
