I'd let her go ahead and crunch on it. I have never offered it to mine at 5 weeks, but at 6 they do fine with it. I give them the Royal Canin baby dog #30.

Also if she is dragging her butt after pooping you might want to check to make sure she does not have poop caked in her hair. Rubbing their butt is not normal if everything is OK back there.
