1. I fed Pikko at breakfast (6 a.m.), lunch (12 p.m.), and dinner (6 p.m.). Well, I work full time, so I had other family members feed him during lunch. I would probably suggest you free feed or purchase a feeder that is timed to feed him at lunch and when you're not going to be around.
2. During each feeding, I gave him a little less than 1/4 of a cup to abide to the suggested feeding portions in the instructions. (In total, he has about 3/4 of a cup of food per day.)
3. I just feed him dry food.
4. The breeder fed him Purina Puppy Chow, but I am going to ask my vet what I can switch him to (the ingredients were mostly fillers and not meat - as the main ingredients).
5. One breeder I met simply used Cherrios. But I buy small soft treats for Pikko. Can't remember the brand name. But make sure to break the treats into little bite-sizes at first.
Congrats! I'm very excited for you! |
