I'm really sorry about Coco and I hope that one day you can fill the void. I know what you are going through.

I have a Golden and a yorkie. I have to say that my golden is quite tolerant of my yorkie and there are times when I worry. They play and Abby gets into it and I'm afraid that Alphy will either get squished or..... Abby plays with him and she's actually quite gentle but there have been times where he gets ahold of her ear and she actually can stand up and carry him hanging off her ear and then in return she's pinned him with her mouth around the neck. She's been a mama and I think she treats him like he's one of her puppies.

But I do worry, because although she doesn't mean it something could happen. They've been together for 2 years with no incident. I'm sure what happened was not your fault, just a freak incident that could happen to any of us with big dogs. You just never know when that one time is going to be too much for them.
