Most breeders give you so long after you buy the puppy to take it to your vet and get the puppy checked out. You should take it to a vet within the first couple days for a good check up and any vaccinations if needed. Depending on your vet, your puppy will need 3-4 rounds of vaccinations starting between 6-8 weeks....going 3-4 weeks in between each round of shots. Some vets do 6-9-12 weeks, some do 6-9-12-16 weeks, some do 8-12-16 weeks...just depends on your vet.
