They have 4 cats that they dress up, hold by the neck etc. Needless to say... they are evil. And to top it all off, his step mom gets really offended if you do not do what she says. How do I explain that I dont want them holding, playing, etc with my puppy without hurting any feelings?
What's wrong with those kids! I have a 6 year old and an 8 year old and they were taught from day one to be gentle with animals. Brutus is 2 years old and I'm not ashamed to say both my son and daughter have NEVER even picked Brutus up. If they want to play with him they have to sit on the floor. I don't even let them run around the house with him because I don't want them to accidentaly step on him.

I would just be blunt and tell them that he's small and fragile and you don't let anyone hold him. I wouldn't worry about hurting anyone's feelings. You're protecting your puppy! I would feel worse if I gave in and let those monsters play with him and something happened. Rather be safe than sorry!
