Our cat went nuts when we put some flea drops on her, so much so that I had to wash it all off. So I never used it again. I read up on the stuff my daughter's vet recommended for their cat, Program, and decided to use that instead. They make it for cats and dogs. It's a chewable tablet that simply prevents the flea eggs from hatching. I've been using it for our cat for a year now and our little Yorkie girl for a couple of months, and she does fine with it. We use it in conjunction with Capstar which is a tiny little pill that immediately destroys the fleas that are already on your pet if they are infested. It's safe enough to give it to tiny little baby kittens and puppies, even twice in one day. It's not expensive either when ordered online and can be ordered without a prescription.
