I don't think most people are trying to be mean. They think they are funny, and it's ok to just smile and ignore them. Some people just don't like dogs or cats for that matter. They are the ones missing out.
My mother can't smell. She is always worried that a dog would make her house stink and she wouldn't know. She wants one of my puppies, but I am sure she will not have one for that reason.
You can always be the bigger person. It will give you a longer and happier life. |
