I am always amazed when people do this. I remember a million years ago when I had first moved out of the house. I lived out on a gravel road and one day someone had dumped two pups on that road. They were sitting huddled together. I was on my way to work. I didn't stop and pick them up, kept hoping someone else would. I was soooo poor in those days, could hardly feed myself. On my way home from work (8 hour day) they were still there. Which meant no food or water all day. Of course I had to pick them up. I went and bought a cheap bag of food and fed them. Well, to make a long story short, they had mange real bad. There was no way I could afford vet bills, so I took them to the Humane Society. They didn't charge me anything, not that I could have donated anything anyway I was too broke. The person that dumped this dog could have at least dumped it off there. Heck, most of those places have those kennels you can go and dump your animal off in the middle of the night if you choose. No money or guilt involved.
