Chippy says hi to everyone! We adopted him 9 months ago from the local humane society. He had 2 owners previously and was just dropped off....We think he's around 9 years old and when we first brought him home, we knew he had some health problems but we could tell what a sweetheart he was!!! He had rotten teeth, in fact his breath smelled like fish, so I took him to a vet I had known for 15 years and taken my other yorkie to before his death 6 years ago.
Chippy had to have dental surgery and had 7 teeth removed which left him with 14 out of 42 teeth, but as you can see he smiles all the time because he has his front teeth!
He was filthy and you could feel his bones on his back. He has a displaced knee on his back leg, bone spurs on his back, and has episodes of trachea coughing.
He now has gained 4 pounds, bringing his weight to 9 pounds. He loves his baths, his toys, his clothes, his treats and his daddy most of all! He loves me his mom but can't wait for his daddy to come hom from work.....He also loves to go to bed at night and get on top the covers between us. We take him everywhere, we love spoiling him, and he has enriched our lives so much. He's our little blessing!!!
We're just glad he came into our lives and that we can give him a better life than he apparently has had! Through it all, he's got such a wonderful little spirit!
