To all you denim lovers, need your honest feedback

I have been working on coming out with a denim jacket and overalls and I finally got it ALMOST right with only a few minor changes required . . .so I thought I'd share with you a sneak preview of what it is going to look like. . . . . for now am just showing the jacket as the overalls sample was done in a horendous STIFF fabric (remnant) you might not appreciate its looks right now . . .

Anyway, this is going to be both for boys and girls so I cannot make it too fufu. The boys might start feeling I only cater to girls I just needed my label moved to the wrong side, adjust the lenght (can you tell I kinda folded it ) and the double stitching on the bodice is too wide, as I want it closer and more angled like a "V" shape . . .buttons will definitely change as well but other than that, everything looks perfect and fits wonderfully and is ready to go into production . . .am I missing anything?

I will be offering either an embroidery patch, iron on studs or applique artwork onto the back . .so would love your suggestions . . . . Feel free to critique the work and tell me what you think and truly appreciate only honest opinions please? Of course, if you all think there is NOT ENOUGH interest that is worth my while let me know too and I will move on to another project.

I would get it just like it is for my boys, and I was going to say it looks "boyish" the way it is now...BUT then I saw that you were going to offer embroidery, and that's a good idea.

Maybe add a butterfly or flower patch for girls? Something a little more feminine for the girly girls...

Overall, great design, what does it look like on the underside? I think you said it has buttons as the closure? Would love to see.

I love the idea of a denim jacket and paired with one of the skirts you make it would be adorable! I think you covered the only concern that came to mind, being the softness of the material. I've bought Lucy some really nice jackets and they are so stiff that she just stands there like a statue in them...lol.

So, my honest opinion is that they are great and I would buy one! I'd wash it tons so it breaks in like my own denim jacket

I love it....I love denim! But I like a denim that isn't stiff and uncomfortable.

You could always add satin lining!! ha,ha

I love the length...especially like a little longer then usual length for the boys.

I think having an optional patch or applique or emb. design would be good. That way, people can either personalize it to their liking or need or leave it plain.

I love that it looks like a "real" denim jacket too! The waist band, etc.

How will it attach underneath? Snaps, velcro, buckles, buttons?

Will this be one that is custom sized or by your normal go.fetch size chart?

Wanted to add...I like the go.fetch label w/ D-ring where it is....especially if someone is just going to leave it plain....but if you go and add a patch, etc. it definitely would need to be moved!

Hey Des! LOVE it!! how stiff are the arms?? I know demim is a little tricky to work with. I think it is precious! Maybe do a girl or boy skull on the back. I have a bunch of those files that are darling...just let me know if you want any. A rose is also nice on the back in red or pink with green leaves. Most biker types embroidery would be a nice option along with the dog's name if you have room. what does it do underneath? Is it velcrod or snaps? I think the snaps would be darling but not sure how cost effecient that would be or if they would hold up as well as velcro.

Des these little denim jackets are adorable! I would love to see some sample pictures of one after it has embroidery work done...I can only imagine how precious that will be! I can already picture one in my head for Tatum LOL. I know just what I would want on it

Oooooo If Linda has Harley emb. designs, that would be super cute.
And I know this may be weird, but I love those dog skulls...like a doggy skull w/ heart holes for eyes and a pink bow, etc.

Des I love the denim jacket but agree with everyone else - hoping that it's a soft denim and if I, too, love the option of putting one of these on it it would be so cool. Either that or I'd have to foo-foo it up for the Izz!!

This will definitely be a stock item and with button closure . .the velcro will just add stiffness to denim fabrics. there will be 2 colors offered, this one to me is not stiff (I was referring to the horendous remnant used on the overalls so I can't show it publicly ) . . and both are soft but not too soft (hope am making sense) . . . I am gearing towards patches or iron on studs only because my embroidery work is already overloaded but we'll see as they sure come very limited . .I just like that I can cater to everyone's whim if it was embroidery just because my software can digitize anything . . .

I love this!! You did a great job. I like where the label and harness hook is. I like just maybe the double stitching would look better a little closer. It is very cute!!!
