| How long to wait for item shipping?? I'm a bit concerned that it's been almost 2 weeks since I've purchased an item from a yt seller and have not had any reply at all to my pm's and it hasn't arrived in the mail. Should I wait longer? Should I report them to admin? Thanks for any suggestions.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | You might give it another few days. With the Thanksgiving holiday and now the post office volume of packages it might have been delayed somewhat. If you haven't received it within a few more days, or got a reasonable response from the seller then you could file a dispute with paypal.

| I would contact the seller. I sent a package out on 11/22 that my customer ordered on 11/17 and we figured a few extra days would be needed due to the thanksgiving holiday. Today, we both agreed that it's likely lost so we are sending out a replacement package. So, it happens, unfortunately, but the seller may not even know. My customer and I have been in daily contact and are both very at the post office! Edited: just realized you contacted the seller - I'd contact again, by phone if possible.

If it was an item that is already made, and there were not comments on how long they would take to ship -- then I would expect it to at least be in the mail within 2 weeks. If this is the case, I would send one more PM putting some attention getting subject line like -- PLEASE ANSWER NOW! Then ask when the item was/will be shipped. So, basically I am saying it all depends on what the item was and how you ordered it. Custom-made items may take a long time.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I would call the person and ask when you can expect your items. Things are crazy around the holidays, but there is no excuse for not responding to PM's unless the person is unable to, like in the hospital. |

| Thanks everyone! I'll send her another pm and an email. I know things happen, but it's just odd to me that there's no response from her about shipping. It is from a yt thread (not her own personal site) where she was selling already made clothes so I didn't expect the delay to be so long. And honestly I'm perfectly happy to wait on it if she'd reply to me. Normally yters send me some communication on when to expect items or they get them to me within a week. Thank you

| I agree with you completely... I have had the same issues with vendors (outside of YT), and I would have been more patient had they let me know it took a little longer to ship out. I think it's a common courtesy to communicate with your customers.

| I would contact the seller by phone if possible. I can say from recent personal experience, I had computer issues for about 2 weeks. Maybe this is the case. Also notifications were not getting out from YT for a week or so. You can also check to see if this person has been on YT while you have been trying to reach them. Good luck.

| Ugh, I'm still waiting on an order 3 years later from a YT seller who seemed to disappear She made bows and told me I could send her any ribbon I liked and anything I wanted in the middle, and she'd make the bows for me. I paid to ship her a bunch of supplies, and never heard from her again! I hope you are able to contact the seller and get things sorted out. It is the Christmas season and things could be hectic but I think that two weeks is a bit long to not even be in contact, when you've TRIED contacting them.

| Was it a custom order? Does the vendor have it in stock or does she have to order it? Many online vendors don't keep stock so they have to order from their supplier which can take weeks, then send it on to you. Either way, it should be stated on their website what the expected ship time is. Just an FYI, Paypal requires sellers to ship within 7 business days of payment. The new credit card laws require vendors to ship within 30 days after the credit card is charged unless otherwise stated. You can dispute the charges if you don't receive the item in a timely manner and get a refund. It's always best to email a vendor directly through her website rather than relying on pm's through forums. |

I've heard from her and seems she replied to my pm, but the pm never came to me....and then yesterday the package was returned to her because she didn't place enough postage on it. She's been very sweet and notifying me now even added another sweater to the package to make up for the delay. I've learned a lot through all this and am glad every replied to me! I didn't know that pay pal requires shipping within a week, that's very good to know for larger purchases. Thanks everyone! I so hope others have learned something from this thread too!

| No I didn't, I actually didn't even know to do that! But it was so long ago and the seller is not even around here anymore so I don't think it would make much difference now. Quote:

| Yikes! I'm very glad to hear that you managed to finally have some contact this seller and that everything has worked out in the end. It's nice to hear that she's added an extra sweater too!
