Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Big question - need some feedback !! Thanks to some fantastic sewers and members here - I have many clothes that my girls no longer can wear. My question is - IF I SELL THEM - is that considered really tacky ? Some were gifts and I don't want to hurt anyones feelings ...but I also feel bad having this box full of clothes in all sizes that I'll never use since I moved into the apartment. Many of the clothes no longer fit my girls. I was thinking of doing a sale and letting them be enjoyed by others - Is this a good idea ? I'd measure each item and post a picture of it - but I don't want to do this if it's considered bad form.... I can really use the extra cash and I hate that they're just sitting here - many are very beautiful items. Can I get some feedback - would this be ok to do ???

| Hi V- In my personal opinion, I think it's okay for you to do it, and I think you should! What a waste for such beautiful things to be sitting there when somebody else could be enjoying them However, I would just say one thing...I would only charge maybe 1/2 what you think you COULD get for them (on the gifts, that is), just so people don't think you're trying to rip them off on something you received as a gift. Does that make sense?? I hope so! And I think it's great that you're clearing things out Also, I always feel bad if I got something in a GE that doesn't fit/we don't use because I don't want to sell it or get rid of it, but it's not being used, so I feel your pain! I say, list it all at reasonable prices and no one will have a fit

Donating YT 14K Club Member | If it wasn't a recent gift, I see no reason why you shouldn't sell them and pass the clothes on. The only time I got offended was when I sent a cute shirt with rhinestones (in a gift exchange) and a couple of weeks later, the lady had it up for sale.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | V thanks for posting this as I have a few things of Izzy's that are gorgeous, in fantastic condition but she just grew out of them. I was thinking of posting some things too but didn't know how to go about it. Thanks guys for the great tips for us newbie sellers. Great idea on measuring them too....easy when you have Go-Fetch items with the size in them but some of the handmade dresses from the YT vendors don't have the sizing.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | V, I think it's fine. I agree as long as it is not a recent gift then go for it. With the way these babies get thing if we kept it all we would need a room just for them. I was just moving some stuff in my closet and realized that Zoey has way too much stuff. So I have to stop buying and tell her auntie mary to slow down and maybe sell some of the stuff.

| Villette -- I would not be offended at all. In fact I would rather you sell something than have it sit around in the closet taking up space. One Yorkie's outgrown dress is another Yorkie's fashion statement. In this day and time we can all use a bit of extra $$ on one end and get a bargain on the other. I say, GO FOR IT! In the sale you might generically thank all of those who "contributed" their time and effort. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Thank you - and no - none are recent - The clothes are from the past 4-5 years or so - most have only been worn a few times if not only one time - they're all in perfect condition since I had them carefully laid out in a really BIG box - The charge would probably be minimal but then I dion't want to offend the 'maker' of the clothes either - thank you so much - I've been thinking of this for 2 months and didn't know how to go about it. I've donated things I bought myself to people in the past... but some of these are just too nice to give away - and besides....you all LOVE Sales here |

| I say go for it! I would not be offended at all!! I would much rather see someone sell their fufu's from me than have them sit in a box and not get worn. They are meant to be worn and if your girls no longer wear them or they don't fit, i don't see why anyone would have a problem with that. Just think, you will get some $ to buy MORE this way!!! It's a great way for others to get some precious clothes for their babies if they are on a tight budget and can always use a bargain!!! I only see it as a WIN/WIN!! |

| I'd say go for it! If others can get can use out of the clothes, then I think that is a good thing!

| TACKY?? Not in the least...I say "I can't wait for the sale"!! If you can't use them or no longer wear them or just have too much....there is no harm is selling them to make some $$ and someone else get a bargain! Win/Win for sure!!!!
