| Unwritten YT gift exchange rules or faux pas I am just curious if there are any "unwritten" rules or faux pas for the YT gift exchange? Or stories of..."was my face red!" I will be sending my donation soon (after payday), and have considered joining the gift exchange. Also, I like to do crafts. Is making or creating some of the gifts by hand a no-no or is that welcome?

| Handmade gifts are always welcome here!!!! I think the only possible faux pas is that most folks (I'm truly guilty here) go WAY over the suggested $20 spending. I already have things put away for the next gift exchange!!!! It's not about the money, but I'm always finding "just one more thing" to add to our buddy's gift. I always include something for the Yorkie parent as well, but that isn't part of the rules........

No-no's or faux pas are: not posting pictures of the gift you received not saying thank you

Kathryn - with your blonde hair you look so much like my mom when she was young! Every time I see your avatar I start behaving.

| I'm glad you posted this because I was kinda wondering but too shy to ask. One thing I know I won't have trouble doing is SPENDING MONEY...lol. Especially if it's a girl, I can't even imagine. I want a girl myself so I'm afraid I'd buy everything in sight that's pink...LOL I'm DEFINITELY participating in the next one and absolutely cannot wait! woo hoo

My biggest pet peeve is when there is a post saying "We got the box and will post pictures later" then you never see any photos and no posts later at all. It's a super bummer and the next gift exchange I find myself hoping I don't get that person. It makes you feel like your gifts were not appreciated.

| Oh! We have received several home made gifts and they are the best! You know your GE buddy really put their hearts into the gift and it makes it so much more valuable!
