The next YorkieTalk Gift Exchange, YT GE XXV, our twenty fifth Gift Exchange, will take place in August 2011. Remember that the person you are giving a gift to MAY or MAY NOT be the same person you are receiving a gift from. You MAY or MAY NOT be paired with a Yorkie of the opposite sex. There is no official theme for this GE.

PLEASE NOTE THE BELOW if your Secret Buddy lives in Canada or the United Kingdom or overseas:

We suggest you use the US Postal Service to mail to Canada or a non-USA address (as UPS and Fedex charges additional fees).

Please do not sign up unless you are currently a Donating Member.

Please note that the spending minimum is $25 for your Gift Exchange gift (this does not include shipping), though if you choose to spend more on your Secret Buddy, you may. Please do not expect anything more.

We now require all participants to be Donating Members (members that have donated $25 or more). If you are ALREADY currently a Donating Member (your usertitle shows Donating Member), this does not apply to you. We must receive your donation before you may sign up for this Gift Exchange. If you want to enter two Yorkies in this Gift Exchange, you must have donated a total of $50 or more.

Please note that you MAY receive a secret buddy in Canada (if you are in the US), and you MAY receive a secret buddy in the US (if you are in Canada). Be prepared to pay a few dollars more in shipping costs if this is the case. If you receive a secret buddy in Europe or overseas, there will be extra shipping costs, thus you will be reimbursed roughly $19 for the extra shipping. We will reimburse you via Paypal or cashier's check after the recipient receives their gift. Also, to save on shipping costs, you may want to keep the package "lighter".

If you are not in the USA or Canada, there is a $20 shipping fee to participate per Gift Exchange. Your Secret Buddy will be reimbursed this $20 fee after you have received your package. This covers the extra costs of shipping international.

This thread is ONLY for signups. Do not post any questions or anything else besides sign up in this thread. Please PM us if you have any questions.

You must already have your Yorkie (if you are a new Yorkie parent) by June 1, 2011 to participate in this Gift Exchange.

The signup period will end July 31, 2011. You will receive your Secret Buddy information within THREE DAYS after the end of the signup period. If for some reason you sign up and can not participate in this Gift Exchange, you MUST notify us before the end of the signup period.

You may send gifts starting August 1, 2011. The deadline for sending out gifts will be August 31, 2011.

Toys, they love the hard kind of nylabones, petite size, the regular shape or the wishbone. any flavor is good. Also love busy buddy bouncy bone the smallest size. she wears all kinds of clothes . would love one of those little T shirt dresses from 107 Barney ( just a suggestion )

Does your Yorkie wears bows? If so, what size and what backing do you prefer (bands, barrettes or alligator clips)? Max doesn't really wear bows but he wears tiny, plain scrunchie bands. He might like a bow as long as it's easy to put on!

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Max loves latex squeaky toys. He also loves puzzle toys and egg babies. Snacks? Max has a stomach of steal and will/can eat anything and everything. We have no clothing style as Max has just finished growing (I think) and we haven't experimented too much with clothing. He's really tall, thin, long and had to fit but I think he might like to try dressing up.

Anything extra I want my Gift Exchange Pal to know about my Yorkie (please mention anything your Yorkie doesn't like or doesn't want or can't eat) - Max's favorite activity is eating. I have yet to find anything he won't eat. He may really love some new treats or chew bones. He loves bully sticks. Max is a big Yorkie who hasn't really experienced wearing clothing. He may like a shirt to try that isn't a 1/2 shirt. He's epileptic so we try to avoid any fragrances. Max loves unwrapping presents. If you put a sock in wrapping paper he will be tickled pink! He will be happy with anything his Secret Buddy gives him.

She finds clips or french barrettes hurt less . She doesn't really have bows for the upcoming season (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Winter)

Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Zoe LOVES to play chase, especially with small, squeaky toys, or Skineez-type toys. She doesn't care for the all-rubber toys, but has loved every other toy she's had. She's having fun learning to play on her own with her hide-a-bee/interactive toys. Zoe loves all healthy snacks. We love her harness from chattiesmom, and are looking forward to her recovery so we can get another one besides red. She wears dresses with D-rings when she goes out, and is especially pleased with herself when her leash matches.

Yorkie's favorite colors - She likes all colors, except maybe the "heavy" or jewel colors (and her mom doesn't care for Kelly green ). Some color info: Her skin brother's going to Tufts=light blue and brown, with an elephant so she likes to rep the Jumbos. Her skin sister's at U. of Oklahoma...so she's a big Boomer Sooner fan, and DH is a University of Texas grad...so she says "Hook 'Em" (and tries to love the longhorns when they're not playing OU)!

But, she sometimes has a playdate at my best friend's house, where she would love to try just one special chew stick for that time...maybe a Texas Toothpick or Himalayan chew we hear so many good things about? We've also heard about a mustache comb and she's wondering if that might be good for her girlstache? She has really been enjoying her snuggle sac from Remy, and if her SB is in a "bed" mood, would love to try a Cloud Nine bed or another snuggle sac so she can have a bed in the family room, too. Zoe and I had so much fun with the last GE, just following the clues and getting to know the other buddies. She will enjoy absolutely anything her buddy chooses.

Yorkie's Size of clothing (The common size you usually buy: XS, S, M, L) - I've tried and tried but stop bought never fits him right. Mediums are good in the length but he swims in them. Small he looks like he is wearing hand me downs.


Yorkie's Favorite Toys, Snacks, Clothing style - Hoodies would be great. He'd love something with his name on it. Any toys need to be without stuffing since he likes to "kill it" and then I have the fluff all over my house. He could love a new bed. No bows for Dude. Small treats would be great too. We love Liva Littles or Chicken Littles (did I spell that correct ), nylabone are a hit too.
