I feel very foolish here, but I need some clarification. I am honestly confused by the term "used".

I define "new" as still in the package with tags attached and never tried on.

However, If I have an item that was tried on once and it was too small...is that used? What if I still have the tags (just not attached anymore) and the hanger?

Help!!

I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't consider an item 'used' if it was just tried on

I agree, too. I wouldn't have any problem with something that you bought for your furbaby and it didn't fit!

I define used as noticeably worn...like the fuzz balls that get on sweaters from being washed, dingy looking, hair/fuzz in velcro, etc.

If something was bought and it didn't fit, and it was tried on or shoot, even worn once and didn't like...as long as it is still in good (excellent) condition and looks new/good...I am all for it!

I don't know if you are wanting to return this or what, but my friend just took a coat that didn't fit back to Petsmart with no tags and no receipt. They happily took it back and give her a gift card for the amount. No problem.

I was thinking that my buddy might like it (or a fur sibling), but wasn't sure if I should add it to the box or not. I could probably exchange it, but I bought it on Ebay, so that would be tough. I just thought it would be one more cute item to add. I have spent more than the minimum amount already, and I'm making other things, so I just wondered if it would hurt to add it in.

Agreed. Tried on and didn't fit is perfectly okay. Worn for a bit or out grown would fall under used. Not that that's bad. There's nothing wrong with gently used stuff. It's just not allowed for the GE.

Oh, I'm sure it would be a GREAT GIFT! I think a lot of the things we buy our furbabies 'off the rack' are already tried on so it is definitely still brand new. Don't even think about it being considered 'used'.

Judy - I'd have no problem with that - I have a few things of Izzy's already that are brand new, tried on once for a picture and she never wore again and I would consider that brand new so go ahead and send to your GE buddy - I'm sure they would love it if not for them then their fursiblings.
