| Paw-ject Runway Designer Info Excitement is in the air as the Yorkie Talk Fashion Crew prepares for our first ever Paw-ject Runway Fashion Show. Posted below are some guidelines to help prepare for the design challenge Pawject: A blue denim harness vest. Denim can be new or recycled. Vests can be for males or female dogs. You can submit more than one design if you like. Please refrain from making a full blown dress, however let you imagination run wild with trim, embellishments, ruffles, ribbons, appliqués, buttons, studs, lace, fabric, etc. Be creative and take a step out of your comfort zone. Deadline: Photos of your design need to be submitted by Tuesday 4/30/2012 Submission: For each design you are submitting please include a minimum of three photos. One showing a live dog wearing your design, one showing the front of the vest laid flat and the other of the lining, if you have a front and back view of your dog in the vest 4 photos will be OK. Please try to take a good clear picture, while we need the photo to be close enough to see it please don't crop it to tight, plus I can crop if needed. A smile box will be made from the photos and that program tends to eat up part of the edges of your photo so I don't want it to cover up any of your design. Please email photos to me at d j blain @ comcast.net (no spaces in the actual address) When submitting your photos please include a name for each of your designs along with your first name, Yorkie talk user name and your pups name Signups: All Yorkie talk members can participate, while we would love it if you checked in on this thread to say you are participating that is not mandatory. So if you would like to surprise us with a submission that is OK, just please get it to me by or before the deadline Smile box: It will probably take me several days to complete the smile box after receiving the photos, however I can start on it as soon as the first pictures are submitted so I will appreciate it if you get the photos to me as soon as you can, even if you are doing two designs and only have one ready send that on. The smile box order will be determined by the order in which I receive the photos. Before posting the smile box I will email you all a copy to proof and preview. Post here alerting us to the fact you sent your photos Smile box Thread: I will let you know when the thread is going live, and I will post it in the general discussion area. I would like to have a second thread in the fashion forum in case we want to discuss the different techniques we used to create our designs. Please let me know if you have any questions or if I forgot to add something. It would be great if you did check in here, but I am not going to make that mandatory So designers assume you positions at your sewing machine, ready, set, start!

| I am so EXCITED I just finished my second vest, and I LOVE it, I have it hanging in my kitchen and I just keep looking at it This is the one I am going to donate to Yorkie Haven when our challenge is over. It is a little bit long on Lola so while I hate to part with it I think it will look better on another pup. I might make another one for Lola down the pike, but I feel so good that it came out well and that I AM DONE except for the photos that is. How is everyone else doing. My husband is really starting to bug me about my sewing, is that all you are going to do today, he keeps saying.......... anyone else get that kind of crap from their DH
