Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | First Jammies Using Simplicity 3939 Hey guys! I just finished up my first pair of jammies using the Simplicity pattern 3939. I was very impressed with how easy this pattern was. MUCH easier than the Miss Daisy Designs one I first tried. Don't get me wrong, I liked the MDD one I tried, but it took me all day to figure it out. I had this cut, read, and finished within an hour and a half. Super simple and super quick! If you are wanting to make some jammies, I would highly recommend it. I think any beginner could do this pattern. I did edit the pattern a bit to meet my needs. I did the 'Eddie Bowser' pattern labeled 'B'. I left off the stretchy collar and just hemmed at the neckline. These are a size small. The pattern comes with S, M, and L. I wish it came with XS too. I am wondering if I can somehow cut this one down so I can make XS to fit KS? I have never tried altering a pattern before, so that kind of scares me. Anyways, here are the jammies. The size S is a bit big on my XS model, but maybe you can tell. This is a flannel fabric I found at Joann. Hope you guys are having a great day!

| Do the same thing you did here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/3825732-post24.html You don't have to cut the pattern, just fold it, then, if you want, trace it out on freezer or parchment paper. You may need to make individual leg width and length adjustments, and body length adjustment to get a good fit.

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Thanks Kathy! I will try to do that this week and make a pair for KS. I've got this peanut butter and jelly fabric that I've been dying to make something with for her. Thanks Joyce! And, here is the jammies in the same pattern, but light pink for girls. Just finished those up. Gonna try to get one more of each done today.

| The PJs turned out really well! Thanks for the information on the pattern,I just purchased it recently. I would just fold the pattern down as someone else suggested. Once you get it to fit KS like you wish, you could trase the pattern so you dont have to keep it folded, then you would have one just for KS. |

| I don't use patterns often, but when I do, I trace them to freezer paper. I like to do that because it gives me a backup. The pattern paper is so flimsy and tears easily. Recently i started to take my pattern and scan them my computer. This way I have a copy in each size and can print a fresh copy each time. You can also use your copier to shrink down the smallest size and then save it. I do this even with the patterns I make myself.

| Cute! I use this pattern to make Kiko shirts (turtle necks), pretty easy to make. I haven't tried the pj pattern yet. I'm going to try it after I get my sewing machine fixed (waiting on the part to come in the mail). |

| Oh cool! I will have to go see if this is one of the MANY patterns I have never used, LOL. If not I will get it, those are so cute and do look easy. The sizing down maybe an issue for me. Thanks so much Amyee!
