Back in action Last week my PFAFF 7550 died, the bobbin area exploded and can not be fixed. However I inherited my mother's PFAFF 7550 that hasnt been used in 6 or more years, almost new. I took it to the shop for cleaning and general service, there was NO oil in it. I got to pick it up today,so I am looking forward to making friends with it tomarrow. Guess I wont be getting a new machine,,,,yet. At least I am back in action.

The PFAFF came out in 1994. I got mine brand new in early 1995. Ran it into the ground in 17yrs. This machine has an attachment called the "Creative Designer" it was one of the first computer type machines to come out. The owners manuel is 2 ,,3" binders. There is some amazing information in it,but it is like reading through War and Peace. I did look at the latest PFAFFs,middle of the road $2300. The new Bernina machine that is middle of the road is ONLY $3000.

I have been working on an applique project for me,denham jacket for the fall,on an older machine while I waited for the PFAFF to return. I also cut out 4 fall jumpers for Mina. So I have 4 tshirts to alter and 4 jumpers to construct and decorate on the PFAFF. I will probably do a test run of some of the decorative stitches that are already programed in it and make a buttonhole or two just to make sure that it is really up to par.
