| Prefered dress length for your girls I was just wondering how long or short the other YT mommies like on their little girls. Mina's dresses are usually hemmed just infront of her back legs, but her dressy dresses I like almost to the base of her tail. So what do all of you prefer? |

| I think it depends on the dog, my friends dog is smaller than mine and has a low tail, she likes her dresses longer. My dog has a nice tail that I don't like to cover so her dresses are shorter, I also like them VERY full, to me the long ones that are not gathered much seem draggy looking. I also like to make sure that the bodice is long enough so you can see the fabric. Most dress makers tell you to measure to just above the tail so that must be the norm

| Do you have a pic of the shorter type? To me, it depends on the occassion and type of dress. Light and fun = shorter, formal = longer, if I'm not sure, I aim for the base of the tail.

| I pefer to the base of the tail...if they are very short they look too small for her.

| Luma is so long that most dresses look like shirts on her. It's very frustrating to have a yorkie who is 14 in long (shoulders to base of tail) and 13in. tall, but rail thin at 4lb. She looks like a giraffe or something.

| My lilfriend,Bunkey, was like this. Big strapping 4lb man with a length measurement of 13in. I made most of his clothes so he wouldnt look like a 2yr old in size 1yr clothes. |

| I prefer a little shorter Zhoie. She is 10" base of neck to base of tail. I like her harness/vest typ at between 6-7" and dress 8-9. Anywhere in between works for me. I like to see her little bear cub butt

| I like my dresses on the girls to be longer in length. I think it does come down to personal preference. However, on a Yorkie they all are cute!!

| Jada is 10 1/2" from neck to tail. I like dressy dresses to hit her around 8" and t-shirt dresses about 7". She is so short in height that long dresses look silly on her.

| Good question! I like the base of the tail look for ultra-feminine dresses and a shorter, younger length on the style of the dress....like a tennis-type of dress. If a store bought dress is too short you can attach some tuille and an extra layer to it to make it longer if the dress is too short... so with me, its both lengths...

| I have to want a particular look to put tulle on something. I REALLY hate sewing or handleing tulle. Probably goes back to the year that I made 20 tutus for a dance classe and I think that I twitch everytime I just think about it. |
