Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Butterfly Harness I made a butterfly harness this morning. I wish the 'wing' part would be a bit stiffer. I used heavy duty interfacing stuff. Maybe I should use super heavy duty? Or should I leave it as it is? I was thinking when the dog rolls around on the grass it might be best that the wings are flexible? I am just not sure. Any thoughts? It was just an idea I had in my head for some time. I saw a bat costume kind of like this in a sewing magazine and I was thinking a fancy harness for special days might be cute like that. The butterfly wings could be angel wings too I guess. But anywho, just thought I would share and ask for any ideas you guys might have. Thanks so much!

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Thanks guys! Omg! I put this on KS even though it is too big and started chasing her in the house. Well when she ran the wings sort of lifted up and down. It really looked like she was flying. I laughed so hard I nearly fell over. I need to make her one in her size and video it. You guys would get a chuckle! Lol

Thought about this a bit.... to make the wings a bit stiffer but still soft... what about puff quilting (Term?) them? Herrschners The above is made differently but will look similar. Sew channels through the butterfly, then make little slits in the spaces and fill them with bits of fiberfill to make them puffy. Then stitch or fabric glue the slits together.

| That is so cute!! I think you're right to keep them a little flexible in case the dogs roll in the grass. You have such a talent for this. |
