| That dress is adorable! However, I think this is to advanced for me right now. I just got the sewing machine out and learned how to thread it! Ha ha. Made a pillow case. Let's just say~~~ scary!!

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Oh what a wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much for sharing it! I definitely want to give this a try! You rock Kathy! Another question for you, how do you do the edges? Like on the edge of the scallops I see yellow looking trim. I thought it was some sort of piping. I noticed it on the bow too. I love how finished it makes your dresses. I would love to learn that technique but it may be too advanced for me. Lol. Thank you for sharing your secrets with us. You don't know how much I appreciate it. I am learning so much.

Then I press it in half lengthwise. I put a length of yarn (thickness of your choice) into the crease and stitch very close, as close as I can get to the edge, without smashing the yarn. Then it's ready to use. After I pin the scallops to the underlayment, then I go back with the piping and insert it between the scallops and the underlayment, removing a couple pins at a time then repinning it. The piping has to be notched to go around curves and where it changes direction (at the points of the scallops). You can also insert lace in the same manner, under the piping. Sometimes the lace needs to be slightly gathered to go around the curves and lay flat. I'll be doing one again in the next few days... I'll post some more pics... The collar is done the same way as the bow.
