| My trip to the states So although I woke up sick I still went to Hobby Lobby after my DD came back from the doctors. We got there at 6pm and it took over a half an hour to get through the border. Long story longer I got to Hobbt Lobby at 7:50 and then found out they close at 8!! So it was an insane mad dash for the fabric section and the woman said we close in 5 mins so I scanned the fabric and grabbed 2 The fabrics were gorgeous and I would have LOVED so time to actually look but oh well. I also grabbed as many rolls of ribbon as I could as 50 percent off was awesome. Here in good old canada 15 ft of ribbon is about 6 bucks and even with a good sale it really adds up. HL had beautiful ribbon MUCH nicer than at Micheals so I grabbed 24 rolls LOL. I will be posting pics tomorrow of what I bought. Also got patterns 3 types doubles of 2. Next time I will be going alone too. I took my DD and her friend. I ran into HL and she wanted to go to Hot Topic she said that according to the GPS it was .2 kms away so stupid me I said meet me back here I wont be long so be quick. They got back just after 9!!! Oh yeah did I mention HL closes at 8? I was standing there no jacket with pink fabric with black polka dots wrapped around me freezing my butt off! All in all a pretty crappy night LOL. At least I got all the goods at HL for 43 bucks! And some good deals at Wegmans. Ahhhh the benefit of posting my rant I feel a little better

Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Oh my! What a night! I am so sorry you had to deal with that and that you had to make a mad dash through Hobby Lobby. I know I have a heck of a hard time spending just an hour in there! But so glad you go to go! I can't wait to see your goodies! Yay for the ribbon too! I love when they put the ribbon on sale! I hope you can go back again soon, just you, and take all the time you want! AND whoo hoo for $43!! That is a sweet deal! Retail therapy rocks! Looking forward to seeing what you create!

| We crossed at Lewiston Bridge and that in and of itself was an adventure as my DD forgot her passport!!! Thankfully her drivers licence was sufficent. I still havent taken any pics as I think the combo of being sick and standing outside with no jacket and only a yard of polycotton to keep me warm for over an hour did me in LOL. I am feeling better tonight so will get some pics. I LOVE the selection of ribbon available in the states!!! SO much nicer than the Micheals here in Canada. We Canadians do get short changed in the selection department So HOPEFULLY I will keep feeling better and get to some sewing and bow making!

| Can't wait to see your haul! I have to say, I understand your pain with the border. My DH is Canadian (from Vancouver), so we cross the border quite a bit. We need to get a Nexus pass so we don't have to wait in the line anymore...
