| Am I tutu ambitious?! Well, I have decided to try my hand at making a tutu dress for Pita. I am going to hunt down some fabric and tulle today and see what I can do. Let's just say I am no pro...I don't even know how to thread my fab sewing machine that my sweet mommy bought me several years ago...and something is up with the tension, or is it me? Hmmm. I WILL figure it out or my fingers will be awfully sore making this dress for Peets! I was thinking something for fall but that may be a little ambitious....perhaps fall of next year?! lol . |

| good luck! check and see if you have the bobbin threaded correctly, sometimes that messes up the tension...

Tutu's are sooo easy. I was afraid to even try, but this will help. I did Jada's with ribbon instead of elastic because I wanted to attach it to a harness and make a ballet tutu out of it.jada ballet 2.jpg This was my first tutu

| I tried the knotted version of the tutu, it may be too thick to sew through. ugh. |

| I have learned at least 2 things tonight. #1 sewing is HARD! #2 knotted tulle is thick!! Apparently it takes practice to sew in a straight line. I am not happy with the bodice at all. Given that this is maybe my 6th time ever using a sewing machine, I guess I didn't do too bad. The ocd in me can take the mistakes thought, so I will try another attempt at the bodice. I broke my needle on my sewing machine while trying to sew through the knotted tulle, ARG! Anywho, here is my first attempt ever at making any type of clothing and maybe my 5th or 6th attempt at using my sewing machine, lol. It didn't photograph very well, it is pink and red tulle. |

| You did an amazing job for your first dress and a tutu dress to boot!!! Tulle is very hard to work with for me anyway. The instructions I had called for elastic, but I used ribbon. Also try to sew at a slower speed on the thicker fabrics. I don't see any flaws, I just see a beautiful dress, made with love for your little beauty
